What should I do if my arrival time is delayed?
- If you are delayed or need to reschedule your trip, please contact our Customer Experience Team at +60162534594 or the SNZ Car Rental (Person in charge) to update on your new arrival time.
- We kindly request that you inform us at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled booking time to help us accommodate the changes.
Why am I required to pay for pick up and return fee?
Pick-up and return at SNZ Car Rental offices or designated locations are free. However, for other locations, additional charges apply based on the distance and area.

What is included in the rental fee?
The rental fee typically includes:
- Basic insurance
- Vehicle usage
- Standard mileage maintenance
Optional add-ons, such as a Touch ‘n Go card, child seats, or additional insurance, can be included at additional cost.
Are there minimum age or driving experience requirements?
Drivers must be at least 23 years old with a minimum of 1–2 years of driving experience. Additionally, there is a maximum age limit of 65 years old. Drivers over this age may still be eligible to rent a car, provided they are deemed fit to drive.
Can I extend my car rental?
Yes, extensions are usually possible, however they must be arranged in advance. Additional fees may apply.

What happens if I return the car late?

Can I drive the car across borders?
SNZ Car Rental vehicles cannot be driven into Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, and Indonesia. Subsequently, vehicles are prohibited from being loaded onto other modes of transportation via sea, river, and air for usage from the mainland to Langkawi, Tioman, Redang, Pangkor island.
How do I cancel or modify my booking?
- Paid booking: no changes can be made for paid booking. Hence, customers will need to reach out to our Customer Experience Team for assistance.
- Unpaid booking: Customers can proceed to cancel their booking and place a new booking through our website.
Can I change the driver on my booking?
If you need to update the name or person on your reservation, please contact the SNZ Customer Experience Team as soon as possible.
Please note that SNZ Car Rental reserves the right to cancel or terminate the car reservation without prior notice if we are not informed of the driver change before the vehicle pick-up.
Who is permitted to drive the vehicle?
The renter and any additional drivers must meet the following criteria:
- Age: Between 23 and 65 for standard category cars, and 25 to 65 for luxury category cars.
- Driving License: A full and valid national or international driving license is required.
- Driving Experience: At least two years of driving experience is essential.
- Probationary License: Holders of a probated license are not permitted to drive.
Citizens with valid English driving licenses can drive in Malaysia for up to three months, depending on their country of origin.
Can I view the car before making a reservation?
We do not display actual pictures of the cars on our website. If the specific model you reserved is unavailable, we will provide a similar or equivalent class vehicle. In cases where no suitable replacement is available, we will offer a free upgrade.
Although we cannot accommodate any viewing requests, we ensure that all vehicles are in the best possible condition before your collection to guarantee your satisfaction.
Are there any other fees I have to pay besides rental fees after my booking is complete?
The amount you have paid is final, unless you request any changes to your booking, which may incur additional charges.
